Casavilla takes the name from Antonio villa that here set its residence after having acquired the house from alienations of goods clerics in 1794 under the reign of Joseph II of Austria. The villa is adjacent old church of Saint Peter, it rises in the Middle Ages as part of an abbatial complex, it were the provostry of Augustinian canons; later on it became commended abbey… The structure of the eighteenth-century villa has been the subject of a recent restoration has preserved the proportions of the interior spaces and brought to light the unique façade, the only example of mosaic stone within the Lombardy region, in full respect of the original materials and plant decorative. Casavilla now offers its park and its rooms for a variety of events, an ideal location just few minutes from the center of Milan. Casavilla is active as a venue for private and public sectors.
